La Zona Rosa - Big Wheel Race 2008

Dirty Boy Steve O put together a big wheel race at La Zona Rosa for Timbo's birthday last month. It was a great time. One of the more challenging tracks on the North American big wheel circuit. An indoor circle track with a stair gap hip. Many VIP's in attendance, lots of ladies.

The evening started out like this. All cool, then...

"And FUCK YOU as well Mr. Bartender, I'll run your ass down with this big wheel when you cross the street Bitch!"
Jagermeister and Big Wheels don't mix.

Gangsta Zach was busy chopping, welding, and bitching before the big event.
As a privateer with no sponsorship, GZ finds it hard to compete in the Pro Class.

It's good a thing he beefed up his ride as we were unaware the general public was invited to ride and thrash our big wheels.
So a J.C. Penny's pirate and a dude with a checkered mohawk wanna ride your wheel, what you gonna do?

When it came time to race, there were some concerns with the Line Up.

Bubba Crow made the first main with ease

EZ did not fair so well.

PRO RACE-----Bailey gets the holeshot, snapping Santana by a single stair and GZ by a full trike length.

Timbo's lead after 1 lap

Timbo crossing the finish line at lap 3 winning the PRO MAIN, much to Santana's frustration. It seems Santana thought it was to be a 5 lap race, he's is still pissed. Santana and GZ have recently completed customer big wheel frame fabrication. I call a re-match. Pro-only Parking Garage battle Sunday 6/29/2008 8pm meet at Baileys.

The highlight of the night was the ladies only race. MC Sheps lines 'em up.
