Never tear down anything ever

After much drama about the proper transition of the 1st set in Right line. This is what we have. A torn down pile of dirt, no fun. This shuts the entire line down and really pisses people off. It's too hot and dry to BMX in ATX right now. Just go swimming and we'll get the trails running when it cools off. If we could close the trails for summer, we would.

Digging at 9th St.-ideas that made this place what it is:

  • NO JUMP DESTRUCTION! NEVER tear down anything, for any reason - G_d dam it.

  • If it ain't broke don't fix it. Leave the old lines old and start new lines.

  • Pay your dues. If you ride alot, you should help alot.

  • If you're new to the trails pay dues on some maintenance. Don't try to change 9th St. on your 1st month in town.

  • COOPERATE, work together as a team. Ask the locals for approval, advice, and help.

  • Be cool to everyone and anyone down there. It's a public park in Texas, Be friendly y'all. As a BMXr, you are representing 9th St. in some form or fashion. Be Cool.

  • and of course;

  • no litter     NO litter       NO LITTER!!!!!

  • No fires.

  • No Dogs or small Kids off the leash. They will surely walk in front of a high speed bike, causing a wreck and getting smacked.

  • Don't ride in the mud.

  • Put up the tools and water hose.

  • Don't waste water.

  • Don't destroy and trees or vegetation.

  • NO Graffiti. We don't care who you are and if we did we couldn't read your f_cking name anyway.

  • No drugs/alcohol.

  • Food is always cool, above ground BBQ is cool, just pick up the trash.

We/ as an organization "The Ninth Street Locals" are currently working with the City of Austin and the Austin Parks Foundation to establish an official agreement with the City to sanction 9th St./Duncan Park. This agreement will be to our benefit in the form of civic support, dirt, tools, landscape supplies, water, etc. This is the reason for the website change.

Locals, your advice and input is always welcome. Local companies we love y'all. We are providing you with free advertisement. At the same time, you are providing the City with proof that 9th street has a positive financial impact on the community; thanks.  If you do not want your logo up on the site please contact me. Better than that, if you would like to provide me with a better quality logo image I would appreciate it. If you're a local and want your non-BMX related company listed on the COOP page, let us know as well.

Progress with the city is going fine and all this will surely take a year to come to light. However, we are excited and have great plans for the future.

"It's you isn't it ya cowardly little runt? When I get a hold of you, I'm gonna gut you like a fish and drink your blood!

Listen, you. When I get a hold of you, I'm going to use your head for a bucket and paint my house with your brains!

You little S.O.B.! Why, when I find out who you are, I'm going to shove a sausage down your throat and stick starving dogs in your butt!"
